Hello, I am working as a TEFL teacher in Sri Lanka. Just started new job teaching 5 year olds. I have to teach them french as well as English. Wondered if anyone else here had experience in teaching a third language (in this case french) via the second language as I am not sure how to go about it and am worried that i will confuse them...for example, i tried to start with colours and they kept saying the english name for the colour and didn't seem to understand that i was trying to teach them the french names!!! Any words of wisdom gratefully received!
