Erel School is in need of dedicated teachers of English as a Foreign Language.
Location: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Length of Position: full academic year beginning September 1, 2010
Description: Erel School is centrally located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It is one of the International Language Educational Center projects. Our primary goal is to offer high quality education through the use of modern educational technology and a clean, comfortable environment for teachers and students.
Duties: The teacher of English as a Foreign Language at Erel School is responsible for teaching elementary-high school classes for students of English as a Foreign Language (app. 20hrs/week). There are no more than 25 students in each class, with varying levels of English proficiency. The teacher will form creative lesson plans and assessments from own resources which help improve students’ vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and conversational English ability.
The teacher will offer review sessions for each class in the afternoons to give extra help to students.
The teacher may have additional duties outside of class, such as assisting students in preparation for English Olympics that take place on district, city and regional levels.
Compensation: the school provides free 1-bedroom accomodation in a secured location. Teacher will be responsible for the utility bills. Salary: $1000/month, negotiable.
