Actually when you use Quick Reply the page doesn't get reloaded, therefore the post count on your ad doesn't get updated. If you reload/refresh the page after you make your Quick Reply your post count should update.
Also, if you usually post at a certain time of the day, everyday, then you might actually be posting a new post at the same time as a post from 7 days ago is dropping from your count.
So after you make a QR, refresh the page or go to a different page and see if your count is updated. If you find that it is not updating, please let me know and I will take a look at the code.
Lastly, there are some forums that aren't eligible for being counted in your post content. Those forums are the Advertise your Services forum and all the forums under ESL Worksheets that link to the worksheet maker
but the category ESL Worksheets does count towards your count.
