POSITION INFORMATION:

New Taipei City

■ Contract term
one year, renewable
Work permit & ARC provided

■ Curriculum
EFL (English as a Foreign Language)
practical subjects (art, music, drama, PE depending on the teacher's strength)
English Village (Scenario Teaching)

■ Teaching hour
Mon-Fri 8am-4:00pm, 25 class weekly, 40-50 min per class (vary in accordance with school)

■ Class description
25-40 students, G1-6

■ Monthly salary
$ 65000 NTD (around $2150 USD)
Monthly costs of living (food, rent, transportation, etc.) in Taiwan is around 700-900 USD, depends on how one spend money

■ School dorm
free, pay utility only

■ Performance bonus
Around $10000, by proportion of actual working months

■ Contract renewal bonus
$2000 monthly

■ Paid vacation
Summer & Winter vacation in accordance with the school calendar

According to the current regulation for foreign tax payers, the tax rate of the first 183 days in one taxable year is 18 %. The tax rate would drop lower to around 6 % after the completion of 183 days in one taxable year. Foreign tax payers would be eligible for tax refund when their overall stay is over 183 days in one taxable year.


TEACHER REQUIREMENTS:
■ English native-speaker
■ 4 years of Bachelor’s degree
■ Permanent ARC / Marriage ARC / Open Work Permit / Dual Citizenship holder
