No - I'd always use of after evaluation.

Inspection doesn't collocate with hypothesis and the sentence sounds a bit strange anyway - I'm not really sure what it means. you could change it slightly to clarify - eg :

These were the arguments against the hypotheses and against various writers' evaluations of their validity.

These are my arguments against the hypotheses and other writers' interpretations of their validity.

These are my comments on the hypotheses and other writers' considerations of their validity.
