(1) During the grand opening period, the store ...

(2) During the period of its inception, the store ...

(3) During the initial period of its business, the store ...

Do these phrases have the same meaning? Thanks.

No, they don't.

The grand opening, is the opening party of the store, maybe a celebrity opens the store, there might be some champagne for the first cutomers, etc.

The period of inception is the time the concept of the store was being developed. The owners were thinking of questions like, what should we sell?, how should we decorate the store?, etc.

The initial period of business is the first few days or months that the store is open. After the initial period of business, you maybe start to get an idea whether the store will be a success or not.
