Hometown

:ranger: Hi everyone,
Can you tell me if we can use "Hometown" for the place where we live. According to my Oxford dictionary " hometown " means the place where you were born.
Thanks a lot
Michèle

Re: Hometown

.:rain: I've found the answer.
Hometown is primarily used as a generic term for the city or town in which someone was born in or grew up in, or the place of someone's principal residence.
