Hi Iadnajjar,

The difference is that take a picture is correct and catch a picture isn't.

The only time you would ever be able to use catch would be if I had an actual picture or photo in my hands and I threw it to you and you caught the picture.

If you are talking about using a camera you take pictures or shoot photos.

You could say that you catch moments...you take a picture and capture a special moment on film.
