Does anyone have any game ideas for large(ish) kindergarten classes?

Hi

I'm in South Korea and have 2 kindie classes a week. There are 30 kids, they know a few basic words but can't yet read or write and we have very little space for running around. Actually we have very little space to move and no space at all to move around! There is a Korean teacher in the classroom with me.

I'm really struggling for game ideas other than good old Simon Says. Any ideas would be hugely helpful and I'll send you some virtual happiness in return! :becky:

Thanks!

Lucy

Try this website. It's a goldmine of free resources and you should find many things you like.

Free Printables for Teachers - Free flashcards, printable games, free worksheets, printables, phonics, clipart, projects, ebooks and other resources

Also, remember to use a lot of realia and visuals when you teach!

Thanks Bread Baker. Actually I've been using MES for a while - it's the basis of my entire curriculum. The problem is that it's games specifically that I need - ones that are suitable for pre-readers in a class with no space...

My classes are only 20 kindergarten students - but I have been loving the supersimplesongs web site and also genkienglish.com. Songs are a fantastic way to teach english, while ensuring that the little ones move. Both web sites also have flashcards/games/ forums. My vietnamese students range from 2-6 yrs old - and both websites are invaluable for my most challenging class - 2 yr olds!

What about ESL card games? The students could play them in groups of 4.
