Great classroom activity - No prep' needed This is a nifty lesson that requires no prep. I’ve used it with small groups of adults at a language school and with 40 kids in a High School. - Have the students write or think of a short description of a famous person that they would like to meet. Ask them to read them out to the class, who will then try to guess the name of the famous person. - Set the scenario. Imagine that you are walking down the street one day and you bump into (name of a famous person) What questions would you ask them ? - Have the students write the name of their famous person at the top of a piece of paper. Then ask them to stick their pieces of paper on a wall around the classroom. - Ask the students to move around the class and write a question on the pieces of paper to the famous person . - The students then take back their paper. You could do some error correcting now. - Students can then get into pairs and role play an interview using the questions that have been written on the paper. - Use you imagination for follow up work – reported speech, writing ... |
