Re: HELP!!!!!!

can you tell us a few things?

Where are you teaching? (ESL? or EFL?)
How big is your group?
What have you been doing with them recently as far as content?
Do you have any content planned for future classes?

Basiacally, if you can give us more specific information about what you'd like to teach, then maybe we can suggest a game that's more suitable.

Good luck with the class.

Re: HELP!!!!!!

Ok, firstable, I am an ESL teacher, the group is 35 but the classroom is really small, so everybody is really close, and they get very talkative. I've been teaching vocabulary like family, house, food; grammar like present tense of regular and irregular verbs, and past tense, they also are supposed to write sentences and paragraphs.

For the future I'll have body parts, and clothes and for grammar I'll teach them past participle, reflexives, prepositions.

I've worked with them all this time and the only way they not get too loud is either if I solve the worksheet for them and they only copy the information, or when I give them puzzles. to cut and paste.

Thanks.

Hi! How do you organized the class? Can you make a horseshoe?
I teach for for teens too, there are 30 in my class, so a make a horseshoe, so they can't talk a lot and loudly.
Do you know the tic tac toe activity? You can use it with all kinds of vocabulary. If you have a little time outside the class, make the grid with cardboard,so you can use the same for all classes, and you don't lose time in the class, when the ss are really agitated.
There is a site ,wich thise game is. You have to subscrib but it is free. site:http://www.longman.com/ae/members/fu...dfs/chap02.pdf
Good luck

Do you teach the class(es) alone or with a co-teacher? Who plans the lessons?
