Re: The SLAM Game (OR my favorite game ever!!!) Let us know how it goes! :) |
Re: The SLAM Game (OR my favorite game ever!!!) Thanks!! It went well, once they understood the mechanics of the game they (most of them) enjoyed it. Some of them are so hammy when they win or lose, it was hilarious. I tried it on Grade one and two High School students today. Tomorrow I'll try it on my Grade one Middle Schoolers! thanks again, this is a great site :) :becky: |
Re: The SLAM Game (OR my favorite game ever!!!) Great! I'm glad it went well. Thanks for the update. |
Re: The SLAM Game (OR my favorite game ever!!!) Could somebody pklease explain what Rock Scissors Paper "Showdown" means? This seems to be a great game but I can't get it yet. :( |
Re: The SLAM Game (OR my favorite game ever!!!) perhaps somebody else can explain this better but I'll give it a shot. When the two students who are 'slamming' (touching the flash cards and saying the vocab/sentences) met they must do rock paper scissors to see who can keep going. If you are not sure of the game rock-paper-scissors see it here Rock-paper-scissors - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I recommend the game - all my students seem to enjoy it =) |
Re: The SLAM Game (OR my favorite game ever!!!) this is one game I always use with any subject. When it gets too noisy (the teams are cheering on their player), try to whisper the word you want them to slam. That sure gets their attention. Of course, once the players start running, all hell breaks loose again :-) |
