my name is Francis. I’m from the Phils. and I work in Japan as an English teacher. I’ve been teaching English for 6months before that, I worked at the Dept. of Tourism so I don’t have much experience in teaching. I’ve began to like and enjoy English since I start teaching it. Moreover, I’m not an English native speaker so I keep on studying it. I find this site very useful for me to get ideas on how to improve my work

Homesickness is such a powerful thing. It is funny that more people don't mention it here on this site. It is a feeling you can't describe to someone who has not experienced it. It is longing for the comforts of familiar customs, society and loved ones..

Good luck in your study and teaching, good for you stepping out into the unknown. This is what makes us grow and become more compassionate human beings.
