Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
In response to your posts... I am teaching at a preschool in Dalian, China. The school is called the "Maple Leaf Preschool" and is one of 7 schools operated in partnership with the BC independent school system. I am the only foriegn teacher at the preschool campus however, and don't have anyone to bounce ideas off of...
So far it's been a great learning experience for me, trying new ideas each day and either throwing them in the garbage or adding them to the repertoire. The administration seems pleased so far, so I'm a little releived that I didn't bomb as badly as I thought I did
anyway, that's the story in a nutshell. talk to you all later!

I'm in a similar spot. I teach at my own school and hardly ever run into another native speaker colleague. That's why I hang out in forums...

Your story reminds me of my first year (OK, first couple of years ) of trial and error in Korea. -Sometimes rather brutal. I'm proud I survived!
