| | Website logo Hey Eric,
In my personal profile, there is a 'website logo' option. The instructions say, "URL of your image. You MUST include http:// or your image will be broken. Your image should be 250px x 60px or it will be stretched, shrunken or distorted."
My question is, where does this logo appear? I've tried using this option but I can't find my logo displayed anywhere. Can you explain this option for the electronically impaired? |

Quote Eric [*]If you start a thread, that will count as 3 posts and not 1. This will encourage more thread creation which will give us all more fresh topics to discuss instead of digging up old threads.
[*]If you acquire 25 or more posts (threads + posts), you can have an image appear for your link instead of a text link ad. I have attached a sample of what that could look like below. This is completely optional and if you don't want an image to appear, don't add the image in your profile. If you do want to use the image option, follow these steps: | |

| | Re: Website logo hhhmmm...has anyone every done this? Mesmark, you've got a pretty good run going for this week. You should see if you can make it. I wanna see what it looks like!
Also, the 'More Resources' area is for people who post on the forums here to advertise their sites. These people spend a good deal on their own sites trying to make them better for the user to surf. Has anyone ever reached 25? I'm thinking it might be a tad high considering the posters have to run their own sites and many of these sites have their own forums as well.
Just a thought... |

| | Re: Website logo Actually, that info is outdated and images won't appear anymore. Nobody used them and I don't believe they were generating as many clicks as the text links.
So, don't bother adding an image because it won't appear.

| | Re: Website logo Yeah, I never used it or I did and it didn't work that well. OR, I just remember having that conversation with Eric and it was really him that it didn't work that well for :P
Also, like Patrick said, 25 posts/points is a tough target. I just try to get in here every now and then. Some weeks there's a lot going on, and some weeks I have very little to add.

Just out of curiousity, you said when you used it, it didn't work too well for you. This might be a stupid question but were the dimensions of the logo correct? I was reading that they had to be a certain size.
Anyways, I think just having text links looks cleaner. |

| | Re: Website logo Of course. But they were placed in a different spot in the past. Now, they would not fit in the provided area.
