Default Looking for penpals

Hello everybody,
I would like to get a group of penpals for my students (in Spain). They are teens, 15 year-old boys and girls.
I've got 9 students and their writing is awful, and I think that penpals using snail-mail could be a good idea to improve their writing skills.
The idea is writing a letter monthly, more or less, and to avoid problems all the letters should leave from the language school and be received at the language school, but using envelope, stamp, the name of the student as addressee and so on (in spite of using all of them the same address).
The teacher should correct the letters before sending them and check they don't give any personal information details, such as address, telephone number, etc, otherwise on the first letter they would get the e-mail address and maybe we could have problems with their parents.

My students don't know anything about it but I think they would like the idea.

So if anyone is interested...
Thanks

ePals is a great site where you can find other schools or classes who have the same needs as you. It's also free!

Some kind of group thing would work well too.

EsraM, are your students high school age?

Hello,

sorry for the delay, I'm having some problems with my computer.

Dave_b and Esram, it's great you're interested but can you tell me how to send a direct message, I'm new with this stuff.

What do you mean with a "group thing"? Do you mean more than two groups?

Thank you for answering and again sorry.
Laura

Well, the direct message is done by clicking on our names.

As for a group thing, I did mean more than two schools.

Hello,
Sorry but I don't have a facebook address.
I'm still looking for the penpals, and my students really interested.
Esram, are you still on it?
But, I remind you that I'm looking for a snail mail thing, not online. I don't have Internet in my classroom. I know a bit XX century thing, but such is life

That is a perfect idea as a teacher. It is how you pursue to make an intellectual action just to make sure that your student will learn immediately. I salute you for that!

Hi Esram,
I tried to send you a private message, but I couldn't.
If you're interested we can start when you want. My students are waiting for me to tell them when everything is ready.
I've got 9 teenage students.
If you agree, my students can start writing to yours first, just tell me the names and the address.

By the way, I'm teaching in Spain and all my students are Spanish, what about you?
