audio file, irregular verb list?

hey everyone!

a student has asked me for an audio file of the pronunciation of the irregular verb table(present, simple past and participle).

I tried making one myself but it didnt work out, so I wonder if anyone knows if there are (free hopefully) recordings somewhere on the net?

Thanks for the help,
LOVE this site!

You're in luck!

On my site
PodCards - Irregular Verbs
you'll find the verb list. you can listen to each individually or the whole list as one file.

Enjoy.

Perfect! Thanks a million Clive, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Is that you speaking on the file? It's just that you have a nice neutral accent. I'm Irish and even though I don't have the strongest or broadest accent going my students do sometimes comment on my pronunciation (like 'bus' or 'but') as they are used to the traditional British accent..and I don't want to confuse them even more!!

Thanks again, it`s a great site.

Re: audio file, irregular verb list?

You're more than welcome. I'm glad you found what you we're looking for, even if four of your countrymen still haven't. :-)

Interesting what you say about accents. I have a Scottish teacher working at my school and some of my ex students commented that they had some difficulty understanding. However, I pointed out that they'd soon get used to it and that it was in fact very useful experience for them in understanding different people speaking. Let's face it, anywhere you go nowadays you'll hear accents from all over the world, so learners need as much exposure to different ways of speaking as possible! Most course books use a variety too - it's normal.

Anyway, I'm looking for people to re-record some audio files for me for the very reasons mentioned before. If you're interested let me know and I'll get in touch.

Cheers
Clive
