checking alphabets

Hello. I’ve been teaching English to a group of kids aged 7 to 11 and in my lesson plan there are alphabets that I should teach every session. In my institute I must not have dictation plan so I don't know how to check whether kids learned alphabets or not. Any ideas to help me with this matter? I’ll appreciate it.

What exactly do you mean Excerllency? That you have to focus on specific letters of the alphabet and need words formed of those letters only?

Re: checking alphabets

hi. thank you for your attention.actually i don't want to focus on the words or making them out of the words. i teach them alphabets and every 2 sessions i must check that if they learned them or not. yesterday i told them to write the small and capital letters on 2 sides of small cards and in class when i say e.g."A" they hold up the correct card. but in this way they don't write them and i think they have'nt learnt them. what can i do to be affirmed?
