I'll try to click through it a little more later on and report back. |

It feels really good to get those positive remarks.
This is the first website I have designed all by myself. It's been an exciting experience. My first website bridgeafrik, I had to higher a webmaster. It is not an esl related website. It is aimed at promoting culture. But I had a burning desire to put up an ESL website for my students. To me, it's the feeling of a personal accomplishment to have desinged the ESL website by myself to the taste of my students. I enjoy the messages they write in my guestbook and little chatbox so much. I am trying to build a a good forum where I can meet other teachers. I have a few colleagues in already. You are more than welcome there. |

| | Re: Do you have an ESL website? Sorry, Denis. I haven't been since. I've been pretty busy with a few new sites of my own.
I did pop in just now and I see that you have a forum and it's done through a different provider (pro boards.) I'd suggest you look at something like phpBB and keep your forums on your domain and under your control. Forums are a lot of work but bring great value to a site. I wouldn't want to do all of that work to end up with the fruits of the labor benefiting some other site, not when there's an other option.
Just a suggestion ... |

| | Re: Do you have an ESL website? I am working on a new forum now YaBB 2.2.1 version. It's not easy to install it. I will have a look at the the one you suggested. Proboards really has a lot of ads coming with the free version. I will pull it down soon.
Most of the students who visit my website are asking for a page where they can test their vocabulary and grammar without having to go through a teacher. So I am looking for a good script which can allow easy upload of exercises with build-in answers.
Most of the stuff I have there now is all links to other sites but they really find them interesting. The riddles, The irregular verb of the day feature, the funny videos page, etc.
I am curious about your other sites.
Thanks for visiting. | |
