Help with a 4 year old crying after lesson!

Last week i started private lessons with a 4 year old boy, whom i know from the kinderkarten in which i work as an english teacher. The boy had a good start in class and the parents called me to start an hour per week private lessons. Before we start, the mother informed me that he said " I only want miss Demy at school, not at home". Taking it into account I did my best to make him feel at home with me playing games, singing the songs he knew from school and playing with the puppet. Everything was ok. and when i left he was happy. The other day i was informed that he cried after i left and he said he didn't want to go on. Keep in mind, that he's rather apprehensive at first in other new things too, and the headmaster of the school adviced me and the parents not to quit it as he will get used to it. The question now: What should I do? "Should I stay or should I go?" Please help, because i feel more intimidated than him!
