Homework for Online Lessons?

Dear Teachers, have you ever struggled with assigning (and reviewing) homework/self-study as an online teacher?
I just wrote a piece about my experiences with homework as an online teacher:

We've upgraded our site to now allow teachers to send (and review) homework after lessons. Would love to hear what you think!

Re: Homework for Online Lessons?

Hello!

My experience when it came to online homework in the past was not always the best. Many times, online fields don't mark the amount of text that has to be inserted or the overview of the task is not possible so students get more lost than when it's on paper.

Also, many students didn't do their homework since they spent the evening at some friend's or family house and couldn't access the Internet at the time. It is always easier to carry around some books than having to get online.

Apart from that, if the assignments are good and the platform has the appropriate layout it can work well.

It depends on what you want to teach, but sending attachment files can always be a plus! ;)
