How are your teaching techniques different today?

How are your teaching techniques different today from five years ago?

Have you been able to use technology such as youtube in your classes? What are your experiences?

Please share...

I use youtube, but more as a visual aid to show other teachers examples of how I teach.

My favorite piece of technology is the little adapter I plug into the bottom of my Ipod that sends the music through radio waves for when I use songs in my ES or JHS classes. However, when it comes to using big technological objects in the classroom, I don't know about where you teach, but in my rural schools here in Japan, technology is kinda lacking.
