Ice-Breakers - List them here!

Hi all,

I just responded in a thread about an ice-breaker, that is when I thought, "hey, let's get a thread going about ice-breakers people use in class. Instead of just linking to a site, I ask that contributors actually type the icebreakers out, here, on the thread if possible.

2 Truths and a Lie

You could try two truths and a lie. Have students write down two truths about themselves and a lie. Once they have done so, have each student stand up, go to the front of the classroom, and read off their 3 statements. Finally, have the other students guess which ones are false and which ones are true. Option - you could then discuss the truth about the person in class for a few minutes.

This game works well when looking for an ice-breaker as it almost always changes, in other words, the outcome isn't always the same every time you play the game.

I hope this helps!!!!
Ralph

Great idea, but if posters are referring to a game or activity from another site, they should direct you to the site, not retype it here and same goes for the reverse. People shouldn't be retyping ideas posted here on other websites.

If it's their own idea, then sure. If they've expanded on an idea, that's OK, but they should still reference the source.

Mesmark,

I'm sorry; I didn't make myself clear. Yes, if it is your own idea that you came up with or an idea you have modified, please post it here. We want to always give credit to those that spend a lot of time developing materials.
