Ideas for Book Content, please.

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for ideas!!

I'm writing a book for teachers at the moment. There are about 100 pages of methodology, focusing on:

1: Lesson Structure
2: Time management in the lesson.
3: How much the teacher talks.
4: How much the students talk.
5: Correction and feedback.
6: Pairs and groups.

There are also about 100 pages of activities, each with a step-by-step guide.

Does anyone have any requests for the manual? What problems or concerns or ideas would you like answered?

Any comments would be very helpful.I'm trying to wrap the book up and release it on my site in August.

Thank you in advance!

I don't know how to say this, but I guess that's the book author's problem. My advice is to cover different 'types' of students, and how to interact with them. I think that's my biggest secret as an instructor: to recognize the students who need a lot of encouragement, as opposed to those who think too much encouragement means they doing a bad job. I'm the fourth of six kids in a family that teases and I've found that picking on many students really helps them relax and feel comfortable, if you know how to do it. . .

That's the kind of thing I think comes up too short in most teaching books and websites.

No idea how I'd write it, though.

It looks like you are covering the major areas. One thing I didn't see, and it could be included under one of your sections, is dealing with a class full of beginners and advanced students together. Thanks!

Thank you Toby and Andrew.

It's always get added input in a project. I hadn't thought about learning styles/strategies, nor mixed classes.

Thank you again.

I think that your book proposal should follow the following format, which covers information that publishers find essential in evaluating the project for publication consideration. And you submit an email attachment of the proposal and any sample chapters. It's can help you.
