How can I introduce the simple present to a beginners class

Hi, Why don't you try asking everyone their habits and put them on board. Then tell them these are something that you do each day which means it was not done once but IS DONE everyday.. so anything which is a Habit eg. I read novels or a Fact eg. I sleep, or a Universal truth eg. The Sun rises from The East, or some proverbs or saying eg. An apple a day keeps the Doctor away.
