kids

hi everyone,
i have a children class, age 7 to 11. i've never taught kids and i don't know how to communicate with them. sometimes i feel that they're bored and i have no idea how to solve this problem because i must teach and finish the wanted lessons upto the end of the term. do you have any interesting idea to deal with this problem. i'll appreciate it. thanks.

Can you give us an example of your class? What is the target language? What activities do you do?

Re: kids

for example, i want to work on reading in a big class , 19 kids. at first i work on the words, repeat a lot. then they read one by one and then loudly. But after 20 minutes they start asking me teacher "what time is it" they get bored and they don't listen to their friends who are reading. so i think this process is not useful and practical for all. or not just about reading but also about acting out the conversations. the situation is like this.
