Hi everyone.
So I am back in the UK for a holiday and I want to buy some teaching material to aid me in my kindergarten classes.

Does any one have and recommendations in books with activities in as well as cds/dvd's with kids songs on (which would be easy for chinese kindergarten students to listen/pick up and sing)?

Try some of the Nick Jr stuff like Dora the Explorer, Blues Clues, ... My kindergarten and preschool students love them.

Thanks. do you know the name of the CD's so I know what to look out for?
Does it also have a video for the students to watch too rather than just only listen?

Sorry, those aren't CDs but are TV shows. I also see that you said you are going back to the UK, not US.

I'm not sure whether those shows have made it across the pond ...

Hello Sobek,

Yes I have songs for preschool ESL children and stories to go with them. They also come with animal masks and other masks of the characters in the songs for the kids to cut out and colour, plus pre-coloured versions.

My songs are written deliberately for young ESL beginners so there are few words and they are repetitive. The ideal age is 3 to 6 though I've heard back from teachers that older children also really enjoy them.

If you go to my preschool page and enter your name and email you'll receive a free preschool series by email including:
1. vocab flashcards and games
2. story
3. post-story ideas
4. song to go with the story

To have ANY chance of actually receiving those emails you need to add my email to your address book because otherwise a good number of the freebies are deleted on their way to you by spam filters on the basis that the emails are sent by an automatic mailer. The emails to add are:

and
kinder@teachingenglishgames.com

This will help you a lot.
