Re: Me go bye-bye

I'd say just ask her about it, but in an inquisitive way. Ask her why she does it and what has she seen from that method. Maybe she's had success beyond the students simply comprehending.

I ask other teachers all the time why they do different things. They usually have some reasoning for it.

In first language acquisition children do talk like this but it has been shown that when others do it back to the children, the children have a harder time understanding without proper syntax. So, although they don't use proper grammar or are unable to yet, they recognize it and possibly need it from adults.

I'd be interested to see what the teacher says about why she does it.

 Sorry for the confusion. I suddenly felt I shouldn't have written about her without trying to speak to her first. For all I know she reads the forums and it would be a bit underhanded of me to discuss her behind her back

Thanks for your suggestions though!
