Teaching English one on one to a 6 year old

Hi guys,

I have a job where the mother wants me to spend a couple of hours every week playing with her 6 year old son so that he can practise English. He is Italian, went to a bilingual kindergarten and now studies English in primary school, so I guess he's more or less a beginner.

Now, I am very new to this and have absolutely no previous experience teaching kids, however, I'd like this to be fun as well as useful for him. I have no idea how or where to begin though. The first trial lesson is in 2 days so I want to be prepared. What could I possibly do in the first lesson? What are some games or activities I could play with him that he'd enjoy?

I'm sorry if this is a bit vague but I'm quite anxious as I want this to be fun for the kid and don't want him to get bored in the first hour itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you :)
