[Minicards] - Down Pass
 

This is a fun game for young learners. Pick at least as many pictures from the flash card gallery as there are number of students. I suggest picking more. So if you have 12 students pick at least 12 flash cards but 14-16 is better.

Print out one worksheet with all the pictures but NO titles. Then print out the same set of pictures but this time ONLY the titles, no pictures. Cut out all the pictures and text cards.

Have the students sit in a circle. Give each student 2 cards but make sure the picture and the text do not match. Now when you say "Down" they lay one card on the table and when you say "Pass" they pass it to their right. They should look at the cards and see if they match. If they do match, the say what is on the card and then they are awarded 1 point. If no one has a match, they do "Down. Pass." again until someone gets a match.

You can set the first student to 10 points wins.

This is really good for practicing reading fast.
