Gentle Reminding for those new arrivals to Taiwan:
Only a visitor visa can be converted into a work resident Visa after receiving the work permit through the school in Taiwan. You will start teaching for the school after receiving your work permit.
A 30 day landing visa can not count based on the regulation. You also need to make sure your passport is valid more than 6 months.
We also suggest you get your degrees notarized in the Taiwan embassy overseas before coming to Taiwan. Please also consider having a criminal record check as our useful advice strongly.
