Re: Teaching English Online

For me, one of the biggest challenges was getting a stable enough internet connection to not keep losing the skype call. Here in Cambodia, the internet is getting better but it can be infuriatingly...

Re: Need help on my very large tricky classes!

Wow! That sounds difficult! 80 students to a class, 45 minutes, 16 classes a week! They expect miracles from you!

Re: Teaching ESL to a very active child

I agree with the above suggestion. Try to find something he likes and use that as much as possible in class. Maybe his favorite TV show, cartoon, football player or whatever!

However, it wasn't as grammar focused as what some ESL courses are. I learned...

Re: Improving Listening Skills

You could try playing them DVDs. If you play them on a laptop and use VLC player you can slow down the speed of the video. If you slow it down to much the speech sounds unnatural. But if you slow it...

Re: Monthly Lesson Plans for 5 year olds?

When I was teaching classes of 5 year olds, I worked to the 5 minute principle! They only seem to have an attention span of 5 minutes, so I changed the activity regularly. If they seemed interested...

Re: Frustrated Adult Student

It seems that your relationship isn't teacher/student, it's bordering on boyfriend/girlfriend as you said. Maybe you should ask on a relationship forum?!

That being said, maybe you're not the right...

Had a few problems signing up. Couldn't get an email sent to my hotmail address and so I tried...
