About the Program
EPIK, program of the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, invites responsible, enthusiastic native English speakers to gain experience while sharing knowledge and culture with students and teachers in Korea.

Successful applicants conduct English conversation classes for Korean primary and secondary public school students as part of the Korean government's aim to promote and strengthen English language education.

English Program In Korea aims
1) improve the English communication and language abilities of students and teachers,
2) encourage cultural awareness and exchange,
3) improve English teaching methodology in Korea, and
4) enhance the Korean image internationally.

Starting date
May through August 19th 2009

Eligibility
A person who has minimum bachelor degree in any discipline. A citizen from a country where English is the primary language. No experience required.

Salary and benefits
•Salary: from (CAD) $1,900 to $2,800 per month depends on your qualification and a location you teach ($27,000-37,000 annum with other benefits before over time)
•Excellent salary and benefit (one of the best in the world).
•Free roundtrip Airfare
•Paid/Free housing (fully furnished, 4-5 appliances provided)
•Paid vacation 2-8 weeks per year in addition to national holidays (12-14 days)
•Medical plan, Korean National Pension plan and more!
•Completion bonus: 1 month salary at the end of the 1 year contract.
•No recruitment charges to you.

Working hours and duties
•Work Place: Public schools throughout Korea
•Teaching for the elementary to high school students
•Teaching hours: 22 hours per week during the school hours. Monday to Friday.
•Duties: Jointly conduct English conversation classes and extracurricular activities with Korean teachers
