School Location: New Taipei

■Contract term: one year renewable, starting in Sep. 2012

■Curriculum: EFL (English as a Foreign Language)
Partial Subject (drama, art, computer science, PE, home economics depending on the teacher's strength)

■Monthly salary: $ 70000 NTD (around $2343 USD)
--Monthly costs of living (food, rent, transportation, etc.) in Taiwan is around 700-900 USD,
Depends on how one spend money

■Paid vacation: Summer & Winter vacation, in accordance with school calendar

■Labor and health insurance: Available

■Teaching hour: Mon-Fri 8am-5:00pm, 25 class weekly, 40-50 min per class (vary in accordance with school)

■Tax
According to the current regulation for foreign tax payers, the tax rate of the first 183 days in one taxable year is 18 %.
The tax rate would drop lower to around 6 % after the completion of 183 days in one taxable year.
Foreign tax payers would be eligible for tax refund when their overall stay is over 183 days in one taxable year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
■Native-speaker from U.S.A., U.K., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland
■4 years of Bachelor’s degree minimal
■Certified teacher with teaching license for public school system

U.S.A.- state certified
U.K. - QTS /QTLS / PGCE
Canada, Australia - province certified from QTC /NSW, OCT, etc...
New Zealand, Ireland - certified by the Teaching Council
South Africa - SACE
