Default Food items + containers = phrase building

I noticed my students when describing pictures, they usually name the food before the container/quantifier. So they would say, for example,: A grapes of bunch .. or a cookies of jar ..

Therefore I created this worksheet to help them get their words in the right order.

Activity title:

The Foods I Eat

Target Language:

- A (container/quantifier) of (food item).
ex. A bunch of bananas.

Resources:

- Two sheets: One for writing and pasting + One for cutting pictures.
- Scissors + glues

hi!
Thanks a lot this is great for really young learners i don't think teenagers who still make this kind of mistake will like this. i don't mean anything bad but I'm facing this problem with a class of 14-15 years old

Hi Hayet,

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion. Of course teenagers would not have much interest in such activities. My activities are designed for young learners (9-11). I'm teaching grade 4 right now. Thus I'm integrating cutting and gluing in the learning process. I'm trying to integrate skills and senses as possible for them to learn and retain the language.

Thank you again for sharing your opinion. And we would be grateful if you can share with us some of your materials used in teaching teenagers.

Regards,
DT
