Hi from Paris !

My name's Michèle. I'm French. I live near Paris but would like to move to the country, near the Atlantic ocean. I like France because of its quality of life.
My English friends who have been living in France for 6 years now have decided to settle for good. i've been teaching English for a long time now and I still enjoy doing it. It's one of the best occupation you can have, it's very rewarding even if sometimes you feel they haven't made any progress.

Hi Michèle,

Nice to have you on the site. I'm an English teacher from Canada who has been struggling to learn French, um, my whole life! Maybe someday I'll move to France, it sounds wonderful.

Nice to meet you.

Karen

Re: Hi from Paris !

Thank you for your welcome Littlesage , Openmind, Eric.
I started teaching English 17 years ago. Before I had worked for an English insurance broker and done translations from French into English.
Encouraged by my English friends I decided to teach English ( private lessons).
I realized right away that it was the job for me. I like working with children and teaching them a foreign language is great. So is for adults I don't do much grammar with them, one of them is 57 and plans to settle in Thailand at the end of the year, so he needs learning spoken English and I don't think grammar is essential for him. But you know when we act the special role-plays I have made up for them we have lots of fun.

Michèle
