Our school policy is that we teach 'our' English. Basically, I say "This is how I talk." Since I'm American, that means American English. The little bit of British vocabulary I know I include, if my students are interested in it.

The funny thing is that I'll often get in mock arguments with the students about which is better. . . and I think that anything that animates the student to speak ("Then it's your job to bring the British vocabulary") is an improvement.
