Default New teacher

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum and also to teaching. I have just had my first week of teaching a 13 year old (has the attention span of a piece of dust!) and also to an adult - no problems there, I am gearing him up for the KET cambridge exam. So the problem I have is that next week (this week coming actually) I have the 13 year old (I have asked him to bring his english books from school) and an 8 year old - in the same class. I am teaching at a Tennis school here in Mallorca, Spain, so the kids are from all over the world, my 13 year old is Mallorcan, frustrated and his end of year English results from school were terrible! I know nothing about the 8 year old, not even what country he is from (could be Russian!). So my question is, can anyone please give me some advice on how to tackle the pair of them at the same time. I am being fairly strict with the 13 year old, but he raises his eyebrows and moans that it's easy, but when I test him - he doesn't know!! I guess it's the teenage years beginning. Any suggestions/help etc would be most welcome. Thank you.
