Default Good blog... and I hate blogs mostly, other question.

The wife and I are more interested in living in a rural part of Japan as opposed to Tokyo or the other bigger cities. We don't go out to bars, we don't party much so it seems a better fit. Transportation costs to and fro are probably lower also(walk or bike to work). Have any of you lived/worked in rural Japan. How much lower(if lower) was your cost of living? I would imagine lower. Has anyone been where he is or a similar place, thoughts? Would we save more working/living in a rural place in Japan as opposed to Tokyo and such?

I like the line he has about one man's hinterland is another man's fascinating place.

Thoughts?
