Most teachers I know play competitive games in teams, but with only one person at a time allowed to answer the question. This puts a lot of pressure on that team member.
WHen I play team games, I always insist that the group confer before any team member may reply. This gives more of an opportunity for weaker students to have a measure of success. It also engenders greater cooperation.
