Yes, what I wrote is informal. Most of the different greetings are informal because for a formal greeting there aren't many variations:

Hello. How are you?
Hi, nice to meet you.
Good morning
Good afternoon.


Want some really informal ones?

What's crackin?
What's goin on?
What's new?
What's shakin?
