Default break in two

Hello,

could you please explain the meaning of the underlined phrase
"I'm gonna make a man out of you if I have to break you in two trying."

Does it mean "even if I have to do everything possible and impossible"?

Thank you.

Yes - literally "even if I have to break you into two pieces - ie kill you - while I'm trying."
