Question information

Hi!
Can anyone tell me what color is used for: . the paper garbage street bin ; the can garbage St. bin and the glass garbage St. bin in the UK?

Hi Pat, welcome to the forum.
Some councils may differ, but in London we had a regular black wheelie bin for general rubbish. A blue plastic crate for paper and card recycling, a green sack for garden waste but the rest weren't collected so there was nothing for cans, glass & plastic. This may have changed in the last two years.....
If you took your recycling to a tip there were big metal containers but I'm not sure whether they were specifically colour co-ordinated.

Also there were often bins for recyling glass and cans at the car parks near the supermarkets, large grocery stores. I think these colours also varied from council to council.

When I lived there and visited there recently the British were still not enthusiastic recyclers. I really do not know why. Even my sister just throws everything in the garbage, not like here in Canada.
