Default Predicate

I am a bit confused in identifying predicates and so i need help with that. Predicate means verb + information about the subject .

then what is the predicare for this sentence?
Are you ready?

You is the subject
and Are you ready is the predicate?

That's right. "Are ready" is the predicate. In questions, the subject is placed inside the predicate (rather, the aux is pulled up to the beginning of the sentence), but it doesn't become part of the predicate.
