Thanks for your quick reply Susan53.

I understand your explanation. However, we can use such with and adjective and a noun
e.g. Maybe this isn't such a good idea as I thought.

If much and many are quantifying adjectives, then I still don't understand why it's not correct the following sentence: There was such much traffic

I know this sentence doesn't sound right but I'd like to know the gramatical reason if there is one.
