Default Activities for present perfect tense?

Hi all,
I am a senior student in foreign language education and I have to present a 40 minute-lesson in my training school. The subject is present perfect tense. They already know it, so this lesson is going to be a kind of revision. I want it to be a communicative lesson in which they can use it rather than fill in the gaps, but I need some original ideas!! Btw they are 5th grade students.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Have students work in twos or threes and come up with a dialogue. The situation is that there is a mom and a daughter. The mom wants to know what chores the daughter has completed. The mom can ask what chores she specifically has done, what chores her sisters have done and what chores the daughter and her sisters have done together. This way you can use a different subject pronoun for each sentence. Specify which verbs you'd like the students to use in their dialogue and write them on the board. Have the students read their dialogues out loud and ask the other students to answer questions based on the role play they just heard. Good luck!

Andrew has a great idea, I agree. However, this activity may take longer than you think. You'll need to estimate time for your explanation, their writing, your checking of their writing, and the role plays. I think this is going to take a LOT longer than 40 minutes. I would expect an hour or more.
