Default Re: english with gross motor skills

hi,
acting out verbs with or without the help of a set of flashcards and include a timeframe by counting to 5 or ten (depending how long you want the action to take place). Counting up and down is a good strategy to teach number sequence passively.
A song:I got two.... (hands) how about you? (sing two times)
Wave your hands like I do (sing two times)

(include body language for I (point to yourself) two (stick up two fingers) finger/hands etc (point to the mentioned bodyparts) you (point to the students) I got two/1 hand(s)/feet, back, arms, knees, elbow, shoes, shirt.
variations are: clap your hands, stretch your arms, walk on your hands (oops!) run on your feet, tiptoe, crawl on you knees, swim on your chest, swim on your back, roll on your butt.
