you can draw a family tree (or prepare one of some famous family- for example British royal family) with some blank gaps and then make them fill in the gaps with appropriate words by providing necessary information (Liz is Jeffs sister and Donalds aunt)

after that they can practice by naming each person in the family tree and enumerating his-her relations to everybody else
