I've never heard of it. Can you tell us what it involves?
Yep, sorry, I've been surrounded by people talking about it so I guess I came to think everyone had heard of it.

NLP is a kind of 'reprogramming the brain' using language (the linguistic part of NLP). It's an ever more popular form of corporate training and it's usually aimed at motivation, leadership courses, stuff like that. Now it seems to be creeping into language training (http://www.cleanlanguage.co.uk/NLPdesign.html)

That's about all I know. Like I said, I was hoping someone here may have had some experience with it.

I use NLP techniques quite a lot and they're really useful. A really good introduction to using NLP in EFL is In Your Hands by Susan Norman and Jane Revell (Saffire Press)

Susan, can you give an example of a technique you use?

Where to start! In fact I've just spent half an hour writing a reply, which I've scrapped because I was trying to cram too much into too little space. I want to sit down and think it through so I've decided to post and article on my site about it, to give it the space that it needs. Check there (link below) in the next couple of days. For a taster, I briefly mentioned using one technique in a post on Oct.4th. But I'll cover the topic in more detail today or tomorrow.

EDIT: Deleted link

I think the link should come up this time ... The article is now posted.
