Seeking quality textbooks

Hi there, I just started working at a brand new school, and have very little experience in building curriculum. Does anyone have ideas or advice on developing a curriculum for third and Fourth grade beginner and intermeadiate classes. Also, anyone have any advice on a good textbook to use for teaching? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks much.
